I really like infographics, as I am a visual learner, and this one is attractive. However, I do not have a mobile phone, so it does not apply to me. But for those who have a mobile phone and apps to boot this is very beneficial.
Hello Lynn, thanks from dropping by… to be honest this is not about you not having a mobile phone it is about businesses not having a mobile version of their website! You see more and more people accessing the Internet from a Mobile device. Even if the business owner does not have a Mobile device himself, his customers and potential customers certainly do
Not having a Mobile friendly version of their website means businesses are alienating their customers and potential customers.
Studies have shown that people using a Mobile device will quickly leave a site that is not Mobile friendly in favour of one which is. Google said 2 years ago it’s like closing your business for one day a week… these days it would be nearer to 1.75 days a week!
This is a fascinating infographic Sadie! I confess I haven’t given as much thought to mobile as I probably should. I have checked to see that my site is accessable, how it looks and how quickly it loads so I guess that’s something. The funny thing is that it wasn’t until I saw your post that I checked at Google Analytics to see how many people access my site on mobile devices and I was stunned at the impressive number. Guess it’s time to start payment more attention to mobile … thanks!
So true Marty and the numbers just keep going up and up in terms of Mobile usage.
Hmm, I think Google was being generous then, and for sure I agree that it is more like closing up shop almost 2 days a week. Even on my site which is definitely not a shopping kind of site, I get a ton of visitors on mobile devices. I
I truly believe that a mobile version, responsive or redirect is going to be a necessity for any business to stay competitive online. Thank you for sharing this infographic with us Sadie-Michaela, it is well done and right to the point.
Micheal, I concur with you. These days more people own Mobile phone now than own a toothbrush … that blew me away!
Thanks for this wonderful, easy to understand, explanation about the value of getting our web sites to be Mobile accessible. I have been told before but have not been ready to invest in upgrading my sites for mobile. Many of my clients are much less computer savvy than I am but I am probably missing out on those who are. I will have to check the Google Analytics as Marty did.
Yes, Erica great idea. So many people are using their Mobiles these days especially to look for places and info while on the go. Your Google Analytics give really quite detailed informations these days. You can even see what the most popular phone makes are being used by your visitors. Oh gosh I’m sounding very geeky I’ll hush! Have a wonderful Sunday
I am definitely interested in going mobile for my blog once I become comfortable with writing. Definitely good info to have.
thank you for sharing this Infographic which gets the point across about what is important in regards to having your site ‘mobile ready.
Your reply to Dr. Erica’s comment about being able to see even which types of phones are used to visit our site is very interesting.
The modern lifestyle seems to be so much on the go. It makes me wonder whether the majority of people spends much time relaxing to balance their busy life?
To your Success!
Hi Sadie, wow 5 seconds is the mobile site loading benchmark! back to the drawing board…
All of ours load in much less than that too Sarah
you sure touched a great topic here… everywhere I read or go, everyone talkes about how important it is to have a mobile version of your business… I wish I knew how to do it but I do not, hope I get a friend to explain me more and perhaps get on it soon.
Thanks so much for thise great graphycs… love them and they are so colorful… I was attempted to click on it (I did:-) interesting..
Wow that’s crazy, those percentages!, I suppose though people are quite impatient with things these days as we have the whole world wide web at our feet we don’t expect to have to wait for things! A site that can load on your mobile in less than 5 seconds would be exceptional!
